I had an incident recently where my account was limited (i.e. frozen) for a couple of days and it was a real hassle to get the situation dealt with. Apparently words or URLs in comments led them to believe that people were using PayPal to pay for tobacco products, which is forbidden under their Acceptable Use policy. I prefer personal check or money order, anyway, and it is cheaper, too. Thanks!

Howdy! This is a group buy for blank self adhesive cigar bands. It will close on March 3, 2014. I've done a few of these over the years and folks really liked the bands and I've been getting quite a few requests to do it again, so here it is. BTW, it is fine to cross post this URL to any cigar related board, I'm fine with that.
The bands are blank white paper with a strong self adhesive. They are a traditional cigar band shape with a oval crest in the middle, a flourish on the transition, and a straight thinner part that goes around the cigar. One end of the band is scored through the backing, so the tip of that end can be peeled off easily, exposing the adhesive. They can be used on a wide range of ring gauges by trimming the band and backing with scissors. The company that makes them up does cigar bands for hundreds of cigar companies, they just make these blank using the same equipment they use for small runs of cigar bands.
They are intended to be written on by hand and are ideal for keeping track of who you got a cigar from in a trade, or the date purchased, or box codes, or similar. They are not designed to be run through a laser or dot matrix printer i.e. the bands are loose and not on sheets.
The preferred quantity is $40 for 1000 bands. 500 bands is $25 and 2000 bands is $75. (Add $35 for each additional 1000.) I prefer checks and money orders. PayPal is OK but slightly more $$ to cover the fees. I'll also consider trades for cigars, pipe tobacco or pipes.
